Alive with the Spirit

Martin Franzmann. St. Louis, MO: Concordia, 1973. 79 pages.

Reviewed by Vern Ratzlaff

Here is a series of twenty-nine short meditations on New Testament texts dealing with the work of the Holy Spirit. The meditations range from Acts 2 to Rev. 22, and constitute fresh glimpses into the work of the Spirit. Franzmann, for over twenty years professor of New Testament at Concordia Seminary, combines a ready knowledge of our everyday aches and the doctrine of the Spirit’s healing, and brings new dimension to “walking in the Spirit.”
